Neroche Woodlanders is an independent social enterprise based at Young Wood, just off the Badger Street road, Staple Fitzpaine
We lease 100 acres of public forest from the Forestry Commission and run it as a community woodland, offering volunteering opportunities, wellbeing and nature connection sessions, craft courses, team days, birthday parties and site hire for private events.
We have a beautiful secluded camp deep in the forest, with a roundhouse, outdoor kitchen and compost loo, and lots of walking routes round the woods, with places to quietly contemplate nature as well as actively get stuck in.
We manage the woodland to improve it for wildlife and to generate wood for charcoal making and other products. There’s an open volunteer day at Young Wood every 4th Wednesday of the month.
Full details of all our activities can be found on their website at www.nerochewoodlanders.org.
